José A. Lopez, MD, is one of the most experienced parathyroid surgeons in the world today, having performed over 5,000 parathyroidectomies. He has dedicated the last 10 years of his career to the exclusive pursuit of parathyroid disease with a particular focus on patients whose disease is complicated by scar tissue from prior surgeries and patients with coexisting thyroid tumors. Known for his exceptional surgical skill, Dr. Lopez has helped perfect the advanced techniques of minimally invasive parathyroidectomy used to quickly identify the four parathyroid glands in surgery. He has examined over 20,000 parathyroid glands and has helped train the most experienced handful of parathyroid surgeons worldwide who have followed him in this field. Dr Amod Sarnaik is a surgical oncologist in the Department of Cutaneous Oncology,the Immunology Program and the Melanoma Center of Excellence at Moffitt Cancer Center. In addition, Dr Sarnaik holds an appointmentof associate professor of oncology and surgery at the University of South Florida. Dr Sarnaik's primary research interest involves investigation of novel immunotherapeutic treatments for melanoma. This includes tumor-based vaccines, immune-activating antibodies, targeted inhibition of oncogenic proteins and autologous T-cell therapy. His clinical interests focus on the surgical treatment of melanoma and other cutaneous-based skin cancers, sentinel lymph node biopsy techniques, and minimizing surgically-related morbidities.

Douglas E. Politz, MD, is one of the most experienced parathyroid surgeons in the world, having performed over 8,000 parathyroidectomies. He has dedicated his career to parathyroid disease, combining enormous experience with superior knowledge and skill to compliment his warm, engaging manner. Having seen the simplest and the most challenging parathyroid disease scenarios, Dr. Politz welcomes patients who have been diagnosed for the first time and those with prior attempts at surgical cure. Dr Pimiento earned his MD degree at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He completed a general surgery residency at Saint Mary's Health System/Affiliated Yale University School of Medicine and a Fellowship in Surgical Research in Vascular Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine. He then completed a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology and Advanced Fellowship in Surgical Oncology Research at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Pimiento joined Moffitt from Mercy Health Partners/Mercy Health-St. Mary's and served as the Medical Director, Surgical Oncology at the Lacks Cancer Center. Dr Pimiento's clinical interest is in malignancies of the upper gastrointestinal tract, including esophageal, gastric, pancreatic, colorectal and liver cancers.

Jamii St. Julien, MD MPH, FACS, is a complex general surgical oncologist and a board-certified general surgeon. He specializes in advanced robotic and laparoscopic surgery and is fellowship trained in oncology and advanced GI minimally invasive surgery. His clinical focus is on the care of patients with cancer of the pancreas, liver, stomach, colon, as well as diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. he is an expert in the surgical management of gastroesophageal reflux and hiatal hernias. Dr. St. Julien obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Florida A&M University. He also received his Masters of Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and his medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and spent two years at the MD Anderson Cancer.

Dr. Maya Kamath is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is multilingual in Gujrah and Hindi. Dr. Kamath recently completed Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery at Mayo Clinic Florida, Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in Jacksonville, Florida. This fellowship is fully accredited through the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL). She graduated concurrently with a Masters in Public Health and a Medical Degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed her residency at the University of Florida, College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Kamath believes in providing patients the benefits of minimally invasive gynecological procedures through expertise in hysteroscopic, robotic, laparoscopic and vaginal surgery. She also specializes in care for patients with endometriosis, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapsed and female urinary incontinence. She recently relocated to the Tampa area with her husband and son. In her spare time Dr. Kamath enjoys drawing, painting, traveling, reading and spending time with family.
