My focus is to always treat the patient not just the disease. I've told people many times that I value quality of life as highly as the quantity of life. Therefore, I use every resource at my disposal to address the problems. When treating neuroendocrine cancer, it is absolutely imperative to approach it with a multi-disciplinary approach because it crosses into so many different medical subspecialties. When we are successful, these people can live good, healthy lives. I find that giving the patient time and respect are critical to developing a sense of trust, because it is a team effort with the patient in the center. Our goal at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center is to build a home for neuroendocrine patients, where they can feel comfortable that everyone has experience in this rare disease and all their questions can be answered. By having the most advanced expertise, imaging techniques, clinical trials, and treatments available all in one center, we can provide patients with the best hope for a healthy life.

Dr. Modanlou's professional interests include all aspects of general surgery and complex problems of the liver, bile ducts and pancreas including minimally invasive techniques. He strongly believes in a multidisciplinary approach to complex medical problems and personalization of the patient experience.

Dr. Griffith has a passion for delivering compassionate and quality care to patients. Her philosophy of care is be human.

Melody Paulishak, DO, holds a patient-centered care philosophy that emphasizes collaboration and comprehensive treatment. As a skilled breast surgeon, she is passionate about providing exceptional care to patients with both benign and malignant breast conditions. Dr. Paulishak specializes in advanced procedures such as nipple-sparing mastectomies and Savi Scout-assisted surgeries. Dr. Paulishak earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University before completing medical school at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She continued her medical education by completing a General Surgery Residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center and a Breast Fellowship at Washington Hospital Center. Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Paulishak enjoys various activities that she can share with her family, including running, art, reading, dance, and being outdoors
