Dr. Damon Mimari was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies and obtaining a bachelor's degree in Science, he followed in his father Dr. George Mimari's footsteps, and attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. After graduating from Galveston and earning his medical degree, he began and completed his residency in General Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX.Upon completion of his General Surgery residency in 2009, he joined Dr. George Mimari's practice. Dr. Brittany DeBerry earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997, and her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston in 2001. She continued her training at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and was chosen Intern of the Year and Resident of the Year for two subsequent years. She completed her residency in 2006Board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, Dr DeBerry has been in practice in San Antonio since 2006. She is a past Chief of Surgery at Methodist Hospital. Dr DeBerry is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and Association of Women Surgeons. Dr DeBerry is a general surgeon with a special interest in caring for patients with breast cancer as well as with benign disease of the breast. She enjoys the relationship developed during this difficult time for patients. Her other clinical interests include basic laparoscopy, hernia repair and gallbladder disease.

After receiving his medical degree, he returned to Boston for his surgical training at Harvard's Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Dr. Abbate was a distinguished resident and was selected to serve as Chief of the Surgical Teaching Service after completion of his surgical training. While at MGH, under the mentoring of pioneering pancreatic surgeon, Dr. Andrew Warshaw, Dr. Abbate gained expertise in pancreatic, biliary and complex gastrointestinal surgery.In 2002, Dr. Abbate moved to San Antonio to serve in the United States Air Force. Dr. Abbate's military career included a tour as a combat surgeon in Iraq. He received an honorable discharge in 2006.In 2006, Dr. Abbate began surgical practice in San Antonio. In 2010, he merged his practice with the START Center for Cancer Care. His practice encompasses surgical oncology and general surgery with special interest in breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, gastric cancer, gastroesophageal reflux and gallbladder disease.
