Dr. Freyaldenhoven calls the Midwest her home. She grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and has lived in Kansas City for the last 20 years. Dr. Freyaldenhoven attended the University of Kansas. She obtained an undergraduate degree in Psychology and was part of the University Honors program. She then attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma and was awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha society indicating top 10 percentile of her graduating class.Dr. Freyaldenhoven moved to Kansas City in 2000 and completed her internship and residency at the University of Kansas Medical School. She then began working in Kansas City at her current practice. She is board certified in general surgery with the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons.Dr. Freyaldenhoven also enjoys being a mom to two children and spending time with her husband, friends, and family.

After 30 years in practice Dr. Franey's personal approach is to always listen to the patient and obtain as much information as possible. Make a well thought out diagnosis and fully explain in as clear terms possible what, and why and how surgery is indicated.
