After successfully completing his 5-year residency he was accepted at Banner Gateway Weight Loss Center as a bariatric fellow for one year where he was dedicated to learning more about obesity and its surgical treatment. He presented some of his bariatric research at Obesity Week in Los Angeles and at the SAGES conference in Boston.
