Dr. Randall White, Jr. was born and raised in the Shreveport-Bossier area. Taking advantage of the educational opportunities that Northwest Louisiana offers, he attended Caddo Magnet High School, Centenary College, (where he graduated with degrees in chemistry and economics), and LSU Health Shreveport for his Doctor of Medicine. He met his wife Dr. Ashley White, a fellow Shreveport-Bossier native and current pediatric resident, while attending Centenary College. Dr. White completed his residency in pediatrics at LSU Health Shreveport. He was awarded the Outstanding Intern Award during his first year of residency. His final year of residency, he served as chief resident and was awarded the Outstanding Resident Award at graduation. After completing his residency in pediatrics, Dr. White joined the Willis-Knighton Health System and co-founded WK Preferred Pediatrics. Dr. White believes that the pediatrician's role is to be an ally with parents, helping them care for their children in times of wellness and illness. Dr. Halim Abou-Faycal is certified in Infectious Diseases Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Since his graduation from medical school in June of 2000, Dr. Abou-Faycal has continued to pursue advanced training in internal medicine and infectious diseases medicine. He practiced at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Tennessee, where he rose to Senior resident. In July of 2004, Dr. Abou-Faycal began his fellowship training in infectious diseases at The University of Texas-MD Anderson Cancer Center, during which he received specialized training in treating infections in bone marrow and solid organ cancer and transplant patients.
