Rafael Velasquez, MD, attended residency in family medicine at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama, and also completed a residency at Kansas University School of Medicine where he served as Chief Resident in Family Medicine. Dr. Velasquez was born in Lima, Peru, and graduated from Federico Villarreal School of Medicine in 1993. He worked with multiple volunteer programs in his native Peru, including the early detection of cervical/breast cancer, cholera prevention, and the Peruvian Red Cross. Dr. Valasquez is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the American Medical Association. He enjoys karate, soccer, music, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Laartz received his undergraduate degree and a master's degree from Northwestern University where he was a National Merit Scholar. He graduated in the highest quartile of his medical school class at the University of Iowa in 1998. During medical school he was one of the leaders of an educational group called the Medical Student Ambassador Program. In 2002, he moved to Tampa and completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of South Florida. Always a leader, he was a member of the Housestaff Committee and was Chief Fellow for the Division of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine in 2002-2003. In 2003, Dr. Laartz opened the doors of a private practice in Infectious Diseases, soon to be called West Coast Infectious Diseases and holds a title of Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at USF. He also has been active as a member of the Ryan White Council, Six Sigma Quality Programs, the Morton Plant Physician Leadership Training and the Northwestern University Alumni Admission Council.

Dr. Mohamad Jibawi, MD pursued his education in Medicine at Waubonsee College, Illinois and St. Matthews University School of Medicine, Cayman Islands. He completed his residency in Family Medicine from LSU Family Medicine Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner, Louisiana. He holds several certifications and courses such as ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) and is Board eligible. Dr. Mohamad Jibawi joined AccessHealth Care in July 2016. He has several awards to his credit including the Intern of the Year award at Interim LSU Hospital and the Women's Health Award (2013-14) at LSU Health Science Center. Dr. Jibawi enjoys various sports such as Football, Basketball and volleyball. He also likes to go fishing in the summers. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
