Q: How long does it take for lorazepam to kick in?

A:

After an oral dose, lorazepam will start to work within an hour. Symptoms of insomnia or anxiety should improve quickly after a dose. Lorazepam peak concentrations are reached at about two hours. When to take lorazepam and how often you need it will depend on the medical condition you are treating.
