I have been addressing my mental health by going to numerous providers over the years and have struggled to find a provider such as Dr. Dougherty. The only problem is I wish I had found him sooner.

I started going to Dr. Dougherty almost 1.5 yrs ago for many issues all due to my chronic severe daily pain.
He's helped me tremendously and to stay on track with positivity in my daily life and to deal with a uncurable illness.
Staying hopeful even in the times that seem to be scarce.

So glad I found Dr. Dougherty! Out of 5 counselors I've seen at various times over 30 years, he is absolutely the best! He is insightful, objective, caring, kind, and extremely knowledgeable --- even in understanding the physical aspects of how the brain works for highly sensitive persons.
A true reflection of his expertise, Dr. Dougherty successfully treats patients without drugs. It's easy to prescribe a pill but Dr. Dougherty focuses instead on real solutions and real options without putting his patients at risk. I am convinced that if more practitioners treated patients as Dr. Dougherty does, then the overuse of anti-depressants and anti-anxiety drugs would be greatly reduced and we'd be a healthier (and happier) community. He is a gem!
