Dr. Nguyen-Phuoc's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Nguyen-Phuoc "Dr. Thi ("Tee") is a Physical Therapist with 14 years of experience, specializing in manual therapy. She loves playing detective and sees aches & pains as vital clues that the body uses to communicate its needs. With her eyes serving as X-rays and her hands as an MRI, she is able to detect subtle musculoskeletal restrictions that limit the body from optimal function. By listening and following the clues from the body, she skillfully blends different modalities in each treatment session. Combining manual therapy techniques and the judicious use of therapeutic exercise and neuromuscular re-education, she facilitates the restoration of joint movements, muscle strength, tissue flexibility, health and happiness to the body. As a licensed acupuncturist, Dr Thi is also able to draw on the wisdom of the ancients to expedite the body's natural healing processes by promoting proper energy flow. The body is similar to a light bulb—when there's no light, two things could be happening: 1) the filament is broken (PT is needed), 2) the energy supporting the system has been compromised (acupuncture is needed). By combining elements of Eastern Medicine into her PT practice—and not merely by performing dry needling—Dr Thi is able to offer integrated treatments for acute and chronic pain. Acupuncture treatments are also useful to support whole-body health, promote relaxation, treat anxiety, depression, headache, insomnia, digestive complaints, and offer pregnancy & fertility support. Dr Thi also has an integrated naturopathic practice at Sound Holistic Health Clinic in Everett, WA."
