Tetsuhiro Ueno is nationally licensed and board certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and maintains state license in Virginia. Along with his general practice, he has strong interests in reproductive and gynecological conditions, insomnia, depression, and internal diseases. He is an active member of the American Pregnancy Association. Tetsuhiro attended a three-year program at Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCTCM) in Austin, Texas where he graduated as valedictorian in Master's Program in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.Before his graduate level education, Tetsuhiro earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in social science from Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, Japan. After his graduation, he has worked for ten years in Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), which is a Japanese governmental organization and responsible for the technical cooperation to the developing countries. Tetsuhiro thinks that collaborating with physicians is very beneficial for patient's health. This idea made him work at the integrated medicine clinic, and he had worked over ten years with Medical Doctor and Chiropractors. In addition to being in his private practice, Tetsuhiro used to be a professor at South Baylo University, School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Falls Church, VA, which is one of the largest and prestigious Acupuncture schools in the USA. He consults with medical officers of the Embassy of Japan and also lectures for local communities.
Tetsuhiro finds one important character in himself - devoting his passion and energy to help people, and sharing the happiness with them - and that is what really makes him happy. He thinks that building a good and trustful relationship with patients is extremely important to make a treatment successful, and his sincere and caring character will help to create trust between him and his patients.
