Dr. Raymond's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Raymond "I have been licensed as a clinical psychologist in CT for nearly 20 years. After graduating from Mount Holyoke College I received my doctorate from the University of Hartford. My background includes being an adjunct professor of Psychology, working with inmates in a federal prison, and becoming a Reiki master. Presently in private practice, I specialize in helping adult and teenaged clients with trauma resolution using EMDR. Another area of interest is identifying and resolving the toxic beliefs and emotions that often underlie physical illness. My approach to psychological issues is holistic. I am a member of the volunteer group called Fairfield County Trauma Recovery Network. We are a group of EMDR trained clinicians who offer pro bono treatment to first responders following a significant regional event (e.g., Sandy Hook school shootings). You may be wondering if past painful life events are interfering with, and possibly sabotaging, your current relationships, work life, or sports performance. I offer a free phone consultation to help you decide if exploring these issues with me would be helpful. Contact me and let's get started."

Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Raymond "Do disappointing or painful memories continue to bother you?  Are those unresolved issues holding you back from reaching your potential?  You can move past bad memories without discussing the details.  As a trauma specialist, I offer my clients a safe, comfortable place where they can briefly focus on and neutralize uncomfortable memories and feelings.  Together, at your pace and comfort level, without doing traditional talk therapy, we gently extinguish bad memories and old stuck patterns of behavior so you can get on with your life.  I can also quickly help you resolve performance slumps either in sports or at work."
