Dr. Varghese grew up in Dallas, Texas where he always had an interest in science and sports. He attended college at Austin College in Sherman, TX where he decided to pursue a career in business administration while taking pre-med courses. He graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts and was also accepted into medical school at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. After graduating in 2009, Shaun begin his 5 year pediatric neurology residency at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Here he completed 2 years of general pediatrics, 1 year of adult neurology and 2 years of pediatric neurology training in the largest medical center in the world. He was chosen to be chief resident during the 2013-14 academic year. He graduated in June 2014 and founded The Houston Institute of Neurology for Kids, which opened August 2014. Dr. Varghese is also on staff at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital The Woodlands where he provides consult services in the neonatal ICU and pediatrics unit. Dr. Varghese is a general pediatric neurologist with an interest in concussion/ sports neurology, migraines, neonatal neurology and epilepsy. The majority of Dr. Varghese's leisure time is spent with his wife, two boys, and extended family. He enjoys quality time with his family, traveling, and sporting events as time allows. Dr. Varghese is board certified by the ABPN and licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas. He founded THINK Neurology for Kids in 2014 and currently has two locations.
