Using a non-judgmental and flexible approach, Dr. Kotzur typically prescribes simple diet and lifestyle changes, supplements, herbs, and homeopathic remedies. She has served on the faculty at the University of Southern Maine's School of Nursing in the Holistic Health Program, where she developed and taught Naturopathic Medicine curriculum. She is a faculty member at Baylight Center for Homeopathy in Portland, where she teaches medical sciences. She is past President of the Maine Association of Naturopathic Doctors. She met her Australian husband on an island in Greece while they were both backpacking around the world. They enjoy jumping in Maine's ocean in winter and eating sticky buns from Standard Baking. "
