Patient satisfaction ratings and reviews are based on personal opinions. Before you choose any doctor you should take into account their background, training, specialized experience AND their patient satisfaction to ensure they are the right fit for you.
"I believe that it can be very intimidating to have a doctor show you your true health potential and realize just how far you have to go to get there. Often we don't realize how unhealthy we are until we are in a truly desperate state. However, I believe we all have the capacity for exceptional health, no matter how far we have fallen. I love to take my patients by the hand and help them start the journey, one step at a time." After Graduating from Bastyr University in 2009, Dr. Wheeler was the recipient of the much sought after ITI-STAIR residency scholarship which provided him with the opportunity to practice with the mentorship of both an ND and an MD. The ability to see both sides of medicine enabled him to embrace all that is good and useful in both. Dr. Wheeler no longer believes in natural vs. conventional medicine. There is good medicine and bad medicine, both can be found everywhere. In 2011, Dr. Wheeler established SageMED as a facility in Bellevue where people can come to and have confidence that any provider they encounter will provide good medicine in an effective and holistic manner. Dr. Wheeler believes that education is vital to good medicine, and that cannot be done in a 10 minute visit. He enjoys spending time with his patients and delving into complicated health issues. He has additional training in functional endocrinology (balancing hormones), bio-identical hormone therapy, thyroid disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, and physical medicine (Fixing your aches and pains). He also focuses on diet, nutrition, and exercise prescriptions. Dr. Wheeler excels in the treatment of osteoarthritis pain and is committed to helping you enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle. He has also developed an innovative and highly effective treatment for depression, anxiety, and chronic fatigue.
