Dr. Salas Says:

Doing the homework in psychotherapy can assist a person in great ways since the time allowed in therapy is limited by insurance companies (45-50 minutes). Improvement in a person's condition is commonly seen when a person does his/her homework and applies the information learned from therapy to his/her daily life, regardless of who the counselor is, according to research.

Patient Comments (1)
Orlando, FL |
I went to Dr. Salas for grief counseling. She was very good at making sure that we did cognitive exercises to "reset the brain". However, it appears that she struggled with my need to process my emotions surrounding grief. We didn't talk about death or the agonizing pain that I was enduring because of the recent loss beyond the first intake session. I think she would be great for matters related to family and perhaps stress but not specifically the issue of grief.
