I was born and raised on Long Island, New York. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Stony Brook University in New York before moving to Florida in 2008. I finished my Master's Degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling at the University of South Florida in 2012. I have been working in the mental health field since 2009 when I started as an assessor at the Pinellas Juvenile Assessment Center. My experience began with working with troubled teens who were dealing with substance abuse, defiant behavior, difficult home lives, abusive parents, and many other problems. I was promoted to be a case manager and counselor in the "U-Turn" program, working with youth in foster care group homes. While attending graduate school I completed two semesters of practicum at Mental Health Care's Tampa adult crisis unit. There, I worked with severely mentally ill adults who were in crisis, who were about to enter a state mental hospital, or who were just discharged from the state mental hospital. Shortly after earning my Master's Degree, I began as a therapist working with foster care youth in group homes and in therapeutic foster homes. I have also worked closely with parents and other caregivers, the courts, and other community organizations. I am trained in numerous therapeutic theories and techniques including Behavioral Interventions, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I like to utilize a wide variety of treatments including Behavioral Interventions, Solution-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The length of therapy can vary depending on the presenting problem(s) and other factors, but I can help you understand what the course of therapy will look like early on."
