Bauer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Jersey and received her Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University, graduating with high honors. While completing her training she gained internship experience at Trinitas Hospital working on the Children/Adolescent Outpatient and Inpatient units; developing her skills in facilitating Individual, Group and Family Therapy. Upon completing her training Priscilla transitioned her focus toward intervening in acute psychiatric emergencies. Employed at Hoboken UMC as a Crisis Intervention Specialist she conducted evaluations of children, adolescents and adults in the ER. Concurrently, Priscilla was employed within the Barnabas Healthcare System, working at Monmouth Medical Center, providing individual, group and family therapy to children and adults receiving treatment on their inpatient psychiatric units. Working within these settings Priscilla has had the opportunity to work with all age groups experiencing a range of problems such as adjustments to life transitions resulting in depression and anxiety to those presenting with severe psychotic and bipolar episodes. Thereafter, Priscilla began working with Effective School Solutions within the Glen Ridge School District providing Individual, Group and Family therapy to students ages 12-18 where she was truly able to refine her techniques with this age group utilizing a mixture of talk therapy such as CBT and Play Therapy. During this time, she also developed extensive knowledge surrounding IEP and 504 Plan processes and accommodations while working closely with the Child Study Team. Since May 2012, Priscilla has been employed at the Massler Center for Psychological Wellness. In her current work with individuals and families she is able to recognize the exceptionality in each individual, provide validation to her clients within a nurturing environment allowing the therapeutic relationship to blossom. She then utilizes the therapeutic bond and incorporates tenets of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. While intertwining the therapeutic relationship, creativity and therapeutic modalities Priscilla is able to propel the individual toward healing and allow them to actualize their maximum potential. "
