Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Pamela Firle "Pam's experience has taught her that the mind, body and spirit are inseparable in understanding who we are. She recognizes the importance of listening to the body as part of emotional healing; as well as addressing the thoughts and feelings that impact physical health. This understanding provides the foundation of her holistic approach to healing and change.

"As a therapist, I believe that change is possible, despite our past experience or current pain. I focus on client strengths and abilities as much as concerns. My work is guided by awareness of the connections between the mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and relational aspects of life. Care is taken to insure that sessions reflect client goals and facilitate positive change."

As a counselor and a coach, Pam approaches her work with clients as a collaborative effort, drawing on their experience and expertise as well as her own."

Patient Comments (1)

During the divorce between myself and my ex-wife (who is an alcoholic and reason for divorce) Pam immediately believed the lies of my ex. When Pam took the word of my ex over my kids and called me and my kids liars, I realized she was not there to help me and my kids, but to support my ex and her...more

I truly regret that you did not feel heard and supported in our work together. It is not my practice to take sides but to understand the dynamics within a family system, especially during a divorce. I would have welcomed an opportunity to discuss this with you, and to make a referral if you felt other resources were needed. I can only hope that you found this on your own. Best regards to you and your family.
