Patient satisfaction ratings and reviews are based on personal opinions. Before you choose any doctor you should take into account their background, training, specialized experience AND their patient satisfaction to ensure they are the right fit for you.
When human beings are exposed to traumatic events or severe emotional stressors, it's often a challenging process for them to live healthy, happy and functional lives. My passion is guiding people to understand how their trauma impacts them, teaching them how to have compassion for themselves, instilling hope, and facilitating the healing process. I have found that a systemic perspective, which looks at more than just the client, is often times the best way to accomplish this. For this reason, I often will work with families, couples, siblings, blended families, multicultural families, case workers, social workers, the court system, schools, physicians and many other groups of people in an effort to build an environment of unity and stability. I know that no single approach is right for every individual so I often use multiple, complimentary treatment approaches to shape the therapy I provide to each unique client. I often rely on Strategic Therapy, CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Existential Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy to help guide me. My background includes a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and BA in both German Language and Psychology. I am a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator for couples. I have been providing therapy services to clients since January 2013 and obtained my full, licensure in 2016. Currently, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Wisconsin and I also hold board certification from the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).
