Dr. Haines' bio

This content was provided by Dr. Haines "I treat patients using a collaborative - relationship approach which especially uses various insight oriented approaches., including neo Freudian. I believe such a psychodynamic approach helps the patient not by simply teaching or guiding them but by helping them to more deeply understand and heal themselves. Thus the relationship, insight, and interpretation are important in truly treating the underlying causes of their problems , not just treating the symptoms from deeper issues. Medications can be useful in lessening the symptoms but are not seen as the end solution in most cases. "

Michael is wonderful. More human than clinical. More empathetic than sympathetic. But with a lifetime of schooling and experience to let you know that he’s always one step ahead of you. Always trying to find a way to help. Never giving up. Could not possibly recommend him more.

I have been seeing Dr Haines for two years. I had never seen a therapist before and was not sure what to expect. It turns out therapy, like life, can be uncomfortable at times. I never doubted that the Doc earnestly wanted me to improve. Sometimes he would lead me, sometimes he would nudge me but...more

Inappropriate. The questions, his need to have (or appear to have) control, choice of subject matter, and more. Zero interest in learning about me or even why I was there or what help I needed, just wanted control. Felt as though I would be bled for money before I got help with anything. Waste...more
