This content was provided by Matthew Raffaele "As part of my psychotherapeutic services, I offer client's a venue to begin fully learning about who we are. This is a process that has its roots in psychoanalytic (Freudian) philosophies with elements of modern Cognitive approaches (CBT). I like to think of myself as somewhere in the middle of the two extremes. I don't believe that anything in life can be explained or resolved with just one approach. There is often a complex multitude of factors that can explain, as well as remedy, whatever conundrum we find ourselves in. This can apply to situations at work, school, court, family life and many other technical realms. Why would our persona be any different? Nature versus nurture...the age old question....I believe it's most likely a combination of the two with a heavy onus on our experiences in life and more specifically, what we learned about ourselves from our early experiences within our family. After all, we often do what we know, not what is necessarily good for us. "
