I dont recommend- disregards your feelings
She made assumptions about me and didnt bother to get to know me or my past. Her recommendations from session to session contradicted each other. I saw her multiple times yet she could not recall many things from our previous conversations. She did not make me feel accepted as a fat person. When I presented an idea I was excited about, she told me it wouldnt work instead of acknowledging that I wanted to try something new. Note: I have waited some time to write this review in hopes that maybe I was being overly emotional when I ended our sessions but even after time, I still feel the same way. I really wanted her solution oriented approach to work for me but this focus ignored the reasons for my past and current struggles. I am glad I spoke with my friends and family about my experience because they were the ones that pushed me to end my sessions with her. Overall, I do not recommend Maryam Jamili.

Highly unprofessional. Provokes resentments by sharing her emotions strongly on clients personal matters. Poor choice of wordings in person & text ( from personal line) into late hours. Discusses her personal life ( marital issues and status) in sessions.

A needle in a haystack, high quality therapy. I am so delighted to find this place. It's scary to try therapy especially when your life seems fine, even great. But do yourself a favor and get a little help. Wish I had done so even sooner but glad I didn't wait forever. Maryam made me feel immediately at ease and not like going to a weird psychologist office.
