Lulled back by the sun and sea, Dr. McDonough returned to Southern California in 1999 and established his private practice and consultation service. Drs. McDonough and Lipori were both congenial and apparently quite knowledgeable. As to trust in their decisions, I have no basis to judge. (My remarks do not apply to psychology services, only to testing services. )

He listens well. He explains well. He does not judge except within the bounds of the evaluation and profession. He kindles hope, and "promises" progress toward healthful goals.
