A great counselor, is someone who uses compassion, empathy, respect, and authenticity to form genuine & trusting relationships with their clients. Lori Collier-Chavez, is a phenomenal counselor, who consistently displays a genuine passion for her profession; as well as, genuine compassion & care for her clients. For many years, I have had the pleasure of being counseled by Lori. Throughout this time, Lori has helped me through many obstacles... Most importantly, through the loss of my son. In addition, she has helped me to become the best possible version of myself (mentally & emotionally). Every step of the way, Lori has been engaged, caring, and very conscious of topics discussed during previous sessions. When I speak with Lori, I feel as though I am being counseled by a close friend - who truly cares about me. Lori is an excellent counselor who was able to help me with issues surrounding grief, trauma and CPTSD, childhood development/parenting, marital conflict and growth, etc.. She is very generous and present in the sessions and thus I felt very supported as I discovered areas of growth and healing. She also remembers what clients tell her about their life and is able to reference events to connect them to the present concern when relevant.
