Dementia is a complex disorder that can leave most of us wondering what the heck is happening to me or my loved one. First; what is it … Quickly followed by: What type of dementia is it, what’s the biology off it, what causes this to happen, how fast will it progress, can the progression be slowed, what can we do to best help our loved one and ourselves better manage what’s going on? Dr. Bolyard answered these questions and many more which provided my family with a much needed and fuller understanding about what’s occurring with my mother. Dr. Bolyard is clearly a caring professional who demonstrated a great depth of knowledge while preserving the ability to explain this complex subject to those of us less educated in the field of neuropsychology. We all greatly appreciated her whole-family inclusive approach as part of her diagnostic evaluation. Dr. Bolyard’s ability to keep things gentle and positive while conducting her evaluation is truly unique and we are blessed to have her wi

Fantastic all the way around. We waited 4 months for an appointment and it was well worth the wait. Everyone in the practice was kind, compassionate and professional. She has guided our family through a tough time in diagnosing my father in law. She cares for her patients as well as well their families.

My father has been having memory problems for a year, which is why we referred to Loretta. When we first met, we were all a little surprised by how young she appears. That quickly fell away when she started talking, as she clearly knows her stuff. She listened to our concerns, explained things well, and problem solved with us. We left there feeling well informed about my dad's problems. It did take a few months to get an appointment, which seems like a lot. Outside of that, we recommendher.

My husband has a rare type of dementia that is extremely difficult to diagnose. Through her expertise in diagnosis and obvious caring for her patients, she has helped me to make sense of the past few years in his life. She is a real gem!

We took my father to see Dr. Bollyard for an evaluation to see if he has alzheimers disease. After the first appointment, she invited the entire family back and spent 1.5 hours with us talking about the disease and how to support each other. She gave us a lot of good resources for dementia that we have shared with other family members. We all left there feeling a little better about the situation. Thank you Dr. Bollyard!!!
