Lisa is a warm, compassionate, action oriented family therapist who likes to see results. She often works with complex families with multiple problems, and helps them focus on making each person in the family feel valued, and help them find healthy ways to get their needs met. After obtaining her BA from Purdue University, she started her work as a Legal Advocate in a Child Sexual Abuse program in the western suburbs of Chicago, then in a Domestic Violence Shelter while at Northern Illinois University for her Masters degree in Applied Family and Child Studies. She has also worked in several child care programs as director, head teacher, assistant teacher and aide. After obtaining her Masters degree she began practice as a Family Therapist in an agency that specialized in safely reuniting families following allegations of abuse. After moving to New Mexico in 1994, she worked in several agencies focused on children (Home based, School Based and Office Based) prior to going into private practice in 2004. She works well with youth and young adults as they transition to adulthood. She is active in her community supporting the needs of families, and the professionals who support families, through spiritually based groups, political action and community support programs.
