This content was provided by Dr. Wilson "Dr. Wilson was led to a profession in chiropractic after being involved in a serious car accident at the age of seventeen. When other doctors told her that she would require surgery and may still be in a wheelchair by the age of thirty, she began to explore other options. That is when she discovered chiropractic. Her chiropractor took the time to explain everything that was happening and asked her to participate in her healthcare decisions and treatment. Not only was she able to stay out of a wheelchair, but by the next year she was working on an ambulance as an EMT. She was able to serve her community as a paramedic and fire fighter while she worked her way through college. She has been in EMS since 1999 and continues to serve her community as a paramedic on weekends. She is passionate about giving back to our first responders and veterans. Dr. Wilson graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2016. She focused her studies in Sacro-Occipital Technique, including organ, cranial, and TMJ management, Thompson, Diversified, Logan Basic, and Cox Flexion-Distraction adjusting techniques. She also studied soft tissue techniques including FAKTR and NIMMO. Dr. Wilson further specializes in nutrition, especially that for chronic disease, chronic pain, and hormone imbalances such as PCOS. She believes that treating the whole person is the only way to help them find comprehensive health. Dr. Wilson also studied traditional Chinese acupuncture under Dr. Zev Myerowitz through the International Academy of Chiropractic Acupuncture. She received her certification from the IACA and Logan University in 2016. Dr. Wilson has an associate degree in Paramedicine from Southwestern Illinois College, a bachelor's degree in Medical Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, a bachelor's degree in Human Biology from Logan University, and a master's degree in Nutritional Wellness from Logan University."
