It is recommended that all children receive a complete visual exam by the age of five or sooner Even then, a child (or adult) may have 20/20 eyesight with or without glasses, but poor visual skills. These include visual acuity (sharpness or clearness), mechanical skills (ability of muscles to control the eyes in tracking) and perceptual skills (ability of the brain to organize and interpret visual information). For these children, we put together a complete program of visual exercises, which are remarkably successful in rehabilitating all types of vision impairments and visually related learning problems. If you know a child who is struggling in school, please contact our office to schedule a free vision therapy screening.Facilities and EquipmentThe office of Dr. Raffa and Ragsdale uses the most up to date equipment available today.
