Jose M. Lafosse, Ph.D., ABPP is a Board Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist in Denver, specializing in the assessment of brain injury and neurological disorders in adults. He is also a consulting neuropsychologist at the renowned Craig Hospital for patients with traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury, and has hospital privileges at Swedish Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Lafosse is Professor in the Department of Psychology & Neuroscience at Regis University. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California after earning a B.A. from Loyola Marymount University. He then completed an internship in clinical neuropsychology at the Palo Alto V.A. Medical Center, followed by a residency in clinical neuropsychology in the Department of Neurology at the University of California Davis School of Medicine. Dr. Lafosse conducts Neuropsychological IMEs and other Forensic Neuropsychological Evaluations such as Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation, Capacity & Guardianship, and Fitness For Duty evaluations. In addition, he is a native Spanish speaker and performs neuropsychological evaluations in Spanish. Dr. Lafosse is an active clinical scientist and a reviewer for several scientific journals in neuropsychology. He has served on the Education Committee of the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado and the Diversity Committee of the National Academy of Neuropsychology. He was invited to participate as an expert in the 2008 Diversity Summit at the International Neuropsychological Society meeting, which addressed challenges in the assessment of ethnic minorities. Dr. Lafosse is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology and the National Academy of Neuropsychology, and an associate of the Colorado Neurological Institute. He was named a Fellow in the National Academy of Neuropsychology in 2013 for significant contributions to the field of Neuropsychology.
