He specializes in chronic pain, autoimmune disorders and pediatrics. He became certified in Oriental Sports Training in 1999, which led to a deeper interest in Eastern Medicine. He went on to attend grad school here in San Diego and graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine. He has worked with children in the chronic pain program at Rady Children's Hospital as well as hematology and oncology. Max has worked with families at the UCSD medical school student free clinic at Baker and given acupuncture support to patients undergoing psychiatric treatment at Tele-Care. His interest in Chinese medicine began with studying martial arts. Max practices Hsing-yi Chuan and Yang style Taijiquan and he enjoys hiking and playing golf, traveling and spending time with friends and family."
