Dr. Savia's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Savia "I received my training in psychology, the biological sciences, and public health. I earned a bachelor's degree in biology, a master's degree in public health, and both a master's degree and a doctorate degree in clinical psychology. In addition, I am trained in providing faith-based care to those facing crises or life challenges that have them struggling with a sense of meaning in their lives. I understand work challenges across the range of small business to Fortune 50/global corporations. This broad background contributes to my unique ability to recognize, respect and incorporate the biological, behavioral, relational, and spiritual dimensions of my clients. I recognize the courage required to enter into and continue with therapy, and I provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment for men and women to do this important work. I truly listen to and care about my clients. I enjoy working with men and women of all ages and ethnic, cultural, and educational backgrounds. My clinical interests include issues surrounding mood, anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, self-esteem, medical illness/injury, life transitions and adjustments, loss and grief, responses to trauma, and suicide. I have extensive experience working with men and women in health care, fire/EMS service, the legal/judicial system and the clergy to address the unique stresses associated with these professions. This includes working with those whose loved ones are in these professions."
