Janelle Linares is a Mental Health Clinician. She holds a BA in Psychology and Mental Health from the University of Puerto Rico, a MS in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and a Certificate of Advance Graduate Studies in Mental Health Counseling from Cambridge College in Massachusetts. Ms. Linares has over 5 years of experience working with individuals victims of violence, providing trauma informed interventions. She holds certifications for Domestic Violence Legal Advocacy, Conflict Mediation and Love 146: Not a #Number Trafficking Prevention. Ms. Linares is also professionally trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy by the National Children's Advocacy Center (NCAC) in Alabama. Ms. Linares provides efficient counseling and treatment for mentally and emotionally distressed clients and their families. Throughout her career, she has worked in Puerto Rico, Massachusetts, and currently Connecticut, where she has provided families and clients with support to cope with difficult life events; she has worked directly with child sexual abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as creating and coordinating groups and trainings for community providers, schools and anyone interested in sexual abuse prevention.
