Dr. Jana Crim is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. While in optometry school, she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and was honored with the COVD Award for Excellence in Vision Therapy. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology from Samford University, where she graduated cum laude and was an active member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Dr. Crim moved to Franklin with her husband, Jay, and their three boys in 2012. Her favorite things to do are to travel, spend time with family and friends, and stay active with her three boys. She is excited to be a part of the Franklin community and is enthusiastic about helping her patients with all of their vision needs.
Dr. Crim is passionate about adult and pediatric vision care. She wants to walk alongside you and your children as you experience the world visually, to make sure you are seeing clearly and processing visual information accurately. Dr. Crim shows personal interest in her patients and their personal needs.
Dr. Crim is thoughtful, supportive, and encouraging to each patient. She prides herself in explaining information in detail and answering any questions that you may have with a personal and caring touch.
As we all know it can be quite frightening for children. Dr. Crim is known for being very patient and kind to children of all ages. It is critical to detect delays in your child's visual development at a young age which is why she takes a calming and caring approach to ensure accurate results with even the youngest of patients. She is actively involved with the InfantSee program which provides eye exams at no cost up to age 1.
