This content was provided by Heidi Manning "Heidi Manning has been a licensed acupuncturist and a board certified diplomate of NCCAOM since 2005, then she received licensure in WA July 2005. She eventually settled in Oregon and has been a licensed acupuncturist in OR since 2012, and a licensed massage therapist since 2017. She was born and raised in the Reno, NV area, however, her desire to learn more about holistic medicine, such as how food may be used to heal our bodies, brought her to Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA in 2001. She studied Chinese medicine and acupuncture where she gained a great appreciation for the highly organized and holistic approach in which Chinese medicine has been created. She earned her Masters degree in Acupuncture in 2005. She gained greater experience at several acupuncture externships including a chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia clinic, a low income clinic serving primarily the Vietnamese population, a low income substance abuse detox clinic, and at a clinic serving the HIV/AIDS population. In addition to training in acupuncture, Tui Na massage (Chinese therapeutic massage) and meridian therapy, patent herbal formulas and Chinese dietary therapy, she also has training in craniosacral therapy using the Upledger Institute method. She has utilized this therapy extensively in sports medicine such as for joints, and also in women's health such as during pregnancy and childbirth. "
This content was provided by Heidi Manning "I do my best to meet clients where they are, to understand how they would like to feel and be, and I help them get to that state of optimal health and well being. I approach all clients with compassion and empath, while also keeping it balanced with a good foundation and understanding of Chinese medicine. I enjoy using acupuncture or acupressure, meridian therapy, massage and additional bodywork, as well as food as medicine via dietary changes and/or Chinese herbal patent formulas."
