Gennady "Henry" Nosovitsky, certified physician assistant, joined Borrego's specialty clinic in June 2016. Gennady specializes in treating patients with HIV, hepatitis C, type 2 diabetes, gay men's health, HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), HIV Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), sexually transmitted infections (including syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia), general infectious disease, as well as general internal medicine. Additionally, Gennady has an interest in improving patient's overall adherence by also focusing on mental health difficulties, such as attention deficit disorder (ADHD). He completed his undergraduate work at California State University, Northridge, receiving a bachelor's degree in biology, and received his physician assistant education from Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon. His clinical rotations included training in primary care, infectious disease, HIV care, pain management, dermatology and correctional facility healthcare. Due to Gennady's interest in academia, he currently tutors PA students through distance learning and is looking forward to being involved with Borrego's residency program, teaching residents and medical students on the topics of HIV, hepatitis C, and STDs. He has presented at conferences and to other clinicians on the topic of STDs, with emphasis on syphilis awareness, diagnosis, and management.
