Naturopathic medical doctors use all available forms of medicine and offer prescription medications as needed, using both natural hormones and synthetic drugs. TRAINING I received my graduate medical degree from Bastyr University, an accredited 4-year doctoral level naturopathic medical school. Through Bastyr University, I offer the cutting-edge scientific understanding of wellness, focusing on mitochondrial, microbiome, and hormonal wellness during treatment. The complex topic of healing chronic illness is not well understood by science. To remedy this, naturopathic medicine uses science and draws on the centuries of medical history from Europe, India, and China. Ayurvedic and homeopathic medicine are two such rich medical philosophies I emphasize that provide insight into the healing process. My training centered in the medical settings of psychology, orthopedics, oncology, rheumatology, and gastroenterology. As a physical medicine specialist, I have additional training in chiropractic medicine with John Masterson, DC and in visceral/craniosacral therapy with Greg Yasuda, ND. The bulk of my ayurvedic medical training is under K.P. Khalsa, RH (AHG) and Dr. Virender Sodhi, MD (Ayurved), ND. My approach to patient care emphasizes support of the autonomic nervous system. Autonomic nervous system dysfunction is an emerging area of medicine, and to this effect I have additional training with Steve Hoskinson at the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute. Along with my doctoral degree, my undergraduate studies were completed at Bastyr University, which focused on the fields of health psychology, human biology, and anthropology. Please let me know how I can be of service to you!

Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Vose "Naturopathic philosophy of wellness

Its common sense that without addressing the deeper causes of chronic disease, the body's underlying imbalances may progress. As a naturopathic medical doctor, my primary goal is to guide and support you in changing the underlying cause of your illness to reverse it immediately and prevent future manifestations.

Since medical science is relatively new compared to the centuries of healing traditions, your treatment will draw from both science and traditional forms of medicine. As a naturopathic doctor, I use what actually works from traditional european, native-american, and ayurvedic systems of medicine - all within the current medical scientific understanding of how the body works.

Your treatment may include any of the available modalities of naturopathic medicine, depending on the needs of each unique situation. These include education, nutrition, counseling, herbal medicine, physical medicine, and pharmaceutical medications.

The body as a whole

The current healthcare model of medical specialties tends to divide the body into separate systems, such as cardiology or orthopedics, preventing doctors from understanding illness across the whole body. Naturopathic medical doctors are specifically trained as primary care doctors with an emphasis on biochemistry and physiology. Naturopathic doctors view the body as complex interactions between interdependent parts of the body and emotions, mind, and spirit.

Obviously we all want to live long healthy lives. To do this, we need to keep our bodies in balance. Naturopathic doctors encourage patients to listen to the messages of illness, partially because illness can show us where our body needs support now before it gets worse."
