My appointment was right on schedule. The staff and Dr. Semler were very friendly and cordial. The visit was quick and easy and everything was discussed plainly and to the point. I recommend Dr. Semler to anyone looking for a friendly yet professional eye care specialist. Oh, and he is a Veteran. Thanks for your service Dr. Semler!

I cannot recommend
Unfortunately, I never got to see Dr. Semler. I waited 2 hours after my appointment time and still had not been seen by the doctor. I needed to eat something for health reasons so I had to leave. While sitting in the waiting room my wife was bitten by multiple ants leaving welts on her arms, neck and ankle. She killed 5 ants that had crawled on her. I feel the practice does not respect the patient or their time based upon the fact that there were so many patients in the waiting room and everyone was enduring a very long wait. I have been seen by the same practice but their Alamo Ranch location and that office was efficient, clean and well run with minimal wait times. I was very surprised and disappointed by my experience at the Ingram office.

Excellent experience with Dr semler . Ask questions listened and gave me great advice. First time going there and I recommend Dr semler for his professionalism and making me feel at ease. I rate him a 10 . He was easy to talk to

Excellent Eye Care

I saw Dr Semler for the second time. He was very friendly and commented about seeing me before. I thought that was a nice touch, it shows that he looked at my file prior to seeing me in the office. He communicated clearly and asked if I had any questions about my care. I look forward to seeing him next year. I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends looking for an eye doctor.

The new prescription for my eye glasses wasn’t working out for me, so Dr. Semler did a second vision exam and determined the prescription needed to be altered. My glasses are now being remade at no cost. Dr. Semler spent a good bit of time with me to ensure that I understood the difference between the two prescriptions and that my vision is safe. It was a very positive visit, and I would recommend Dr. Semler to anyone with vision issues.

Dr Semler was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained everything in a pleasant manner. The office staff left a bitter taste in my mouth. The gentleman manning the front door was not very friendly although he was using the correct language. The technician who performed the preliminary tests was very rude. I asked her if she was okay because she was being very abrupt with her questions. She replied that she felt like I had a bad attitude. The Covid 19 precautions were a little excessive and inconsistent. For example, I was admonished not to touch any of the eye frames, yet I was given a pen to fill out paperwork from a holder with pens that were not labeled as clean or dirty. Also, the restroom had NO soap at all. It seemed that their was lots of staff experiencing idle time as evidenced by loud talking and laughing. The eyeglass optician which was an older lady was very pleasant and accommodating. Honestly, if I had service like in the clinic I would have gone somewhere else.

I was having issues with my eyesight so I did a search through my insurance website. I called and made my appointment less than a week out so I was glad. I showed up to my appointment with no issues and they took my temp and had me sit. I was called over within 10 min and then exam began. Everyone was friendly and very through. Dr Semler checked me out and what I thought was a cataract turned out to be some unexplained condition but he put me at ease and explained the retina scans they took and was very informative with his diagnosis.

Dr. Semler Is very professional, knowledgeable, caring and kind. I highly recommend Dr. Semler to my family and friends. This is my second yearly visit and will keep him as my eye doctor. After my visit this year I scheduled my next yearly visit Knowing I will be in the best of hands. Dr. Semler took the time to ask questions and to give me a sample of eye drops for my dry eyes. I was also given a printed copy of my Eyeglass prescription And a copy of my eye evaluation. All done in the same day
