This content was provided by Diana DaGrosa "Diana has been a healthcare practitioner for over 27 years. As a child she suffered from terrible gastrointestinal issues that were not helped by conventional allopathic medicine. Things got worse and endometriosis was the next ailment that again traditional medical treatment proved in-effective. After multiple surgeries Diana set out on a path to heal herself. Being an athlete at an early age, Diana had already begun her own experimentation with food and began studying nutrition, herbal medicine and later functional endocrinology to enhance her physical ability. She utilized herbal medicine, holistic health practices and her knowledge of whole food nutritional therapy to solve all her problems. While the path to recovery wasn't easy, she learned invaluable lessons that she now passes on to her patients so that they do not have to experience what she did. Diana now attracts patients who have similar and complex challenges. Her passion for research and thirst for knowledge shines through as she creates treatment/nutrition/herbal protocols to help her patients heal and recover rapidly. Diana is a NCCAOM Certified Acupuncturist graduating with a 4 year Masters Degree in Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture. Her Bachelors of Science in Health & Fitness is from Springfield College, who taught and lived the Spirit, Mind & Body Philosophy. She lived and worked in Japan for 5 years and uses many of the Asian practices in her daily life. Earlier in her career, as a massage therapist she treated over 13,000 clients in 16 years. She has over 1,500 hours in Applied Clinical Nutrition, Functional Medicine, Advanced Acupuncture Techniques and Functional Endocrinology seminars. Diana is currently pursuing Certification with The Institute for Functional Medicine. She creates her own body care products and uses Aromatherapy extensively in her wellness center. Her philosophy is the desire to help heal the planet one body at a time. Diana's childhood idol was Jim Thorpe whose Native American name was "Wa-tho-huk" or Bright Path, for whom her wellness center is named. Jim won Gold in the Decathlon & Pentathlon in the 1912 Olympics and is considered one of the Greatest Athletes of All Time. Diana's Grand-father & Jim were friends. "
