This content was provided by Dr. Cole "I was a school psychologist and so have a good understanding of ADHD, learning disabilities, and school problems. Later, I retrained in clinical psychology and earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University's APA approved program. I have been in private practice since 1994. I see children, adolescents and adults in the dignity of a private practice. I treat OCD, depression, body-focused repetitive disorders, anxiety, panic, and sex addiction. I also treat Tourettes and Tics with CBIT, a comprehensive cognitive behavioral treatment. I have extensive training in trauma-focused psychotherapy and EMDR, an evidence-based treatment for trauma and anxiety. I have 3 years of postdoctoral training in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy."
This content was provided by Dr. Cole "I use a collaborative approach. The method is, first of all, one which I believe the research thus far supports as effective. For example, for OCD Exposure and Response Prevention generally is most effective, with CBT as an adjunct. I use Intensive Short-Term Psychodynamic Therapy, which often relieves depression and anxiety and works quickly, and I also use EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), which has much research to back it up for trauma."
