He then moved to Chicago and earned his Doctorate of Optometry from The Illinois College of Optometry. While attending The Illinois College of Optometry, Dr. Zucker was active in the American Optometric Association (AOA) in which he served as the Political Action Committee (PAC) Liaison for his school. As the AOA PAC Liaison, Dr. Zucker traveled twice to Washington D.C., in which he teamed up with others to fight for patients' rights to access quality eye care. He completed a rigorous training program and internship, which included multiple optometric training sites: The Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, IL; The Aleda E. Lutz Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Saginaw, MI; Omni Eye Services in Atlanta, GA; and Daniel and Davis Optometry in Carlsbad, CA. He then went on to practice full scope Eye Care in Southern Vermont for the next few years. Dr. Zucker then fell in Love with the Central Coast of Callifornia, when driving up the pacific coast highway. He needed to see no more, and decided to start practicing in the Paradise that is Santa Barbara. Dr. Zucker is proud to call Santa Barbara his home. And when he's not in the office, you'll find him active and outdoors throughout the year. He takes pleasure in playing soccer and other outdoor sports and activities all year. Dr. Zucker is passionate regarding Eye Care and Overall Health and Wellness. He strives to improve the visual freedom, and quality of life, for every patient."
