This content was provided by Dr. Garcia "David M. Garcia, D.P.M. is a Pueblo, Colorado native. He has been treating podiatric patients since 1986. Dr. Garcia is married with 3 sons and he enjoys reading, exercising, bicycling, and travel. Dr. Garcia started his professional career, not as a physician, but as a high school math teacher in Boulder, Colorado. However, it didn't take long before Dr. Garcia, a long time athlete, decided to return to school to study podiatry to help athletes and others with their foot health. After receiving his degree in Podiatric Medicine from the William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL, Dr. Garcia did his residency at the Hines VA Hospital. There the focus was on foot surgery and treatment of the diabetic foot. A former medical consultant to the Olympic Training Center, Dr. Garcia continues to treat many athletes, young and old who particpate in all types of sports. Dr. Garcia is board certified in foot surgery for over 20 years and performs podiatric surgery regularly. His office has been located in the Briargate area of Colorado Springs, Colorado since 1990. During that time his practice has evolved into a family podiatric practice which treats and wide variety of foot conditions in both children and adults."
