Dr. David Crosson, or Dr. Dave as patients call him, is one of the expert chiropractors at ChiroFit who provides care to people of all ages in Barrington, Illinois. He strives to improve the well-being of everyone he has a chance to meet. Dr. Crosson's knowledge, compassion, and experience have resulted in a high percentage of success with both chronic complaints and the treatment of acute injuries. He thoroughly enjoys taking patients through the rehab process and restoring proper nervous system function and control of movements and joints. Born and raised in Clinton Township, Michigan, Dr. Crosson attended Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic and graduated with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida. Numerous post-graduate studies include a recently completed certification in Functional Range Conditioning and Functional Range Release. Dr. Crosson also has advanced certification in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA,) which is a systematic approach to assessing movement patterns. Other post-graduate certifications include Functional Movement Systems (FMS,) McKenzie mechanical diagnosis therapy for the cervical and lumbar spines, and training with the Spine Research Institute of San Diego in whiplash and spine traumatology. He's trained in soft tissue therapy with certifications in Functional Range Release as well as Functional Dry Needling. Dr. Crosson contributes his time and chiropractic knowledge to humanitarian efforts in places as far away as Vietnam. He's also involved with local charitable foundations, including the Northern Illinois Food Bank. He volunteers his time by providing risk assessment and functional movement screening for local fire, police, and city workers, and speaks to local high school students about health care and preventive wellness. An avid golfer, Dr. Dave is a Level 2 Certified Medical Professional for the Titleist Performance Institute, one of only a handful of providers to hold this distinction in the area. Dr. Dave is married with two young children and lives in the northwest suburbs.
