Dr. Brooks is an avid proffessal that I feel privileged to have been treated by. As a retired veteran, I have both PTSD and a head injury. Dr. Brooks has guided me through EMDR treatments which has helped me deal with my trauma....and serious PTSD resulting from my military career. I highly recommend him!!

I especially appreciated the casual atmosphere Dr. Brooks created during our sessions - with anxiety & PTSD, it's not always easy to open up to strangers, regardless their educational background. With EMDR, Dr. Brooks helped me organize my thoughts & feelings in a healthy manner. I learned that you're only as happy as you make yourself - everything is a state of mind. I highly recommend anyone with trauma to see Dr. Brooks.

Dr. Brooks is friendly and amiable. Despite this fact, his EMDR therapy methods leave much to be desired. He has actually stated that EMDR therapy is supposed to have you focus on the trauma, and then let you do the therapy, in silence, while your brain re-encodes the event. Regardless, he cannot help but make small talk, and [literally] practice his stand-up comedy routine while the therapy is supposed to be occurring. A nice guy, but not very good for EMDR therapy.
