Darlene Carswell, AP, relocated to Fort Myers, Florida in 1989 from Western New York. A graphic artist by trade, her interest in acupuncture peaked when she sought treatment for migraine headaches, with which she had struggled for twenty years. Conventional medicine failed to provide any long-term relief for the pain. The effectiveness of acupuncture on the migraines, energy level, peace of mind, and other minor physical symptoms, inspired her to become an Acupuncturist. Doing so has allowed her to help others with painful syndromes, which have not been successfully addressed by modern medicine. She studied Traditional Chinese Medicine in a three-year program at the Acupuncture Center of Naples, graduating in June 1993. Her practice opened in February 1994. She also served as an Instructor at the Center from 1993 to 1996. Darlene has given dozens of public lectures and participated in many health fairs over the last two and a half decades, including Lee County, LCEC, Neogenomics, Hope Hospice, MS Society, numerous professional and women's groups, Sanibel Kiwanis Club, Cape Coral Masons, Canterbury School, North Fort Myers AM Vets, Fort Myers SWFL Insurance Underwriters, Florida Gulf Coast University nursing program, and Heritage Massage Academy, to mention a few. Darlene is happily married to Robert, with whom she shares her passion of collecting and exhibiting an enormous display of Christmas decorations. She is the mother of two daughters and has a grandson and granddaughter. She enjoys reading, painting, and writing. She loves working with people to bring them into balance and restore their health and gladly makes room for new patients.

Learn about Darlene Carswell
In 1994 I established an Acupuncture practice to help people rid themselves of nagging body aches and pains, and find ways to answer persistent conditions which hinder them from living full and complete normal lives. Stress, Insomnia, Depression are all tied to chronic pain and must be addressed on all levels of the patients' needs.
Over the years, I can confidently say that I have treated people of all ages, from all walks of life, with all types of conditions and pain. My motto is, "No Pain Goes Untreated".
In my many years of practice, it still surprises me that so many are so fearful of trying Acupuncture (needles). I assure you that I am very sensitive to those who do not like needles. If you fall into this category, there are non-needle techniques that are very effective for your pain. Acupressure, Frequency Specific Microcurrent, cupping, moxibustion, and essential oils will benefit you greatly.
