Dr. Daniel Waldman is originally from Oakland County Michigan and attended Michigan State University for his undergraduate degree. After college graduation he married his high school sweetheart and they moved to downtown Chicago where he attended podiatry school. Dr. Waldman graduated cum laude in the top 10% of his class and served as a tutor for neuroanatomy. Dr. Waldman also volunteered at numerous homeless centers in Chicago to help those in need with foot care. He served as chief podiatry surgical resident at Loma Linda Veterans Administration Medical Center in Loma Linda California. In 1993 he moved to Asheville and opened Blue Ridge Foot Centers. Dr. Waldman has cared for tens of thousands of patients. That is a lot of feet! Dr. Waldman is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is also a Fellow and instructor at the American Academy of Ambulatory Foot Surgeons which focuses on minimal incision surgery which often has quicker recovery times. Dr. Daniel Waldman is also a member of the international Council of Nail Disorders and has lectured nationally and internationally on problems with toenails such as fungal infections. Dr. Waldman's philosophy is to give the best possible care with the least interference with your daily life. His goal is to get you back on your feet feeling great as soon as possible.

I have been caring for feet since the late 1980's and have gained valuable insight into the unique needs of my patients. I take into account not only the foot problem but the causes and take into consideration my patients' lifestyles and family/work responsibilities. Though I am a board certified foot surgeon, I always look for the least invasive treatments to keep you on your feet. The human body is meant to heal itself and as a physician I strive to assist this miracle. We are a team.
