The lady at the front desk was wonderful, however the doctor was a complete jerk. My husband went in for an exam and my 2 year old son wanted to be with daddy, Doctor wouldn't allow him and me and my children were asked to leave, I have never felt that disrespected in my life I have a right to know what is going on with my husbands health at all times, I wish we didn't have to bring the kids however a family member is on his death bed so our only babysitter my mother in law is at the hospital.
I am sorry you felt disrespected on your husband's exam. In an exam, I must fully concentrate to do the best I can for the person. Three or more people makes it difficult to do an exam, which is particularly true with young children. Kids are a distraction in a small room. You were asked to stay in the waiting room, not leave. As to respect, do you take the whole family in on other doctor's visits, like a dentist or gynecologist. If not, I think I should be accorded the same courtesy.
