This content was provided by Dana Smith "Change is hard, talking about change is challenging and making change can be life altering. I believe each person is worth the hard work and is capable of the change that can allow them new perspective and hope. I am a Child Mental Health Specialist with specialty training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for anxiety, depression & trauma. In my 20 years of practice, I have worked extensively with youth experiencing loss, suicidal thoughts & self harm behaviors. I have a passion for working with children in the foster care system, assisting them in navigating the loss, adjustments & new expectations in their lives. My practice also includes working with adults experiencing loss, depression, anxiety & life transitions. Faith based and couples counseling are also available. Each person's experiences are unique and so, each individual's treatment is tailored to best meet their individual & family needs. To ease financial concerns, I accept several insurances and bill the insurance company directly for you. A good connection can provide a great foundation for change. This is why I offer a free half hour face to face consultation so we may determine together if this is the best fit."
