This content was provided by Constance Pearson "I moved to the South from Indianapolis, In because I fell in love with the people here and enjoy living out in the country where I can see deer in the morning and where my dogs and cat can run freely outdoors. I have 23 years of active 12-Step recovery and my husband (of 13 years) and I are in the planning stage of building a 14 bed residential treatment center for women in Richmond County, NC. <-That is my hobby and current passion. I practice prayer and Insight Meditation on a daily basis and I am a student of Buddhist Psychology. My approach to my private practice is wholistic--body mind and spirit and tailored to my clients wishes and beliefs. I was raised a Christian and was a personal trainer in my under-grad so I tend to lightly encourage exercise and nutrition."
This content was provided by Constance Pearson "I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is vital to success in counseling. We have to like and trust each other. The first couple of sessions that we work together we take time to get to know each other and learn mostly about you, and what needs to happen to make you feel like your investment in time and money was worth it--and what are your goals? We then decide on an approach that fits for you, whether you want to just come in and talk or whether you want to do a lot of outside assignments, or both, etc. If you want, I'll talk to your "significant others" to learn more.
I'm a good listener and you will get to talk more than you ever imagined. It feels good just to be heard and understood. It is healing to be validated and to hear someone say to you, "That makes sense."
I offer a free consultation to see if we are a good "fit". I hope you enjoy working with me. If not I will be glad to refer you to someone that I think you would enjoy. (Not everyone likes peaches)"
