I first graduated from Duke University in Durham with a Master's in Liberal Studies with a focus on Human Development and a Certificate in Women's Studies. I completed my counselor education at North Carolina Central with a focus on Trauma Informed Care. I am currently on staff at Freedom House Recovery Center as an outpatient therapist. Prior to this I have worked in crisis as a crisis counselor focusing on both individual therapy and group therapy. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA), and the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of North Carolina (LPCANC). I have specialty training in EMDR, couples counseling, parenting, and play therapy."
